Atmosphere is everything in hospitality. A restaurant with excellent food but flat, poor lighting will likely lose out to one with a weaker menu served in a lively, perfectly lit room. One of the easiest ways to upgrade your atmosphere is with high-quality LED strip lighting. Light strips add a touch of luxury to all kinds of hospitality spaces. Start in the dining room. Overhead-only lighting falls flat and makes food look unappealing, so add layers like cove lighting in a warm 2700K to 3000K range. Specify a CRI of 90 or above, and use tunable or RGB strips to shift the mood from lunch to dinner to special events. The bar deserves attention, too. Strips beneath glass shelves make bottles and glassware seem to float while helping staff see, and you can extend that accent lighting to feature walls and lit alcoves. In a hotel lobby, warm, layered light creates a welcoming first impression before guests reach the desk, so carry cove lighting and backlit walls through corridors and elevators. Finally, specify the full system, not just the strip. Include drivers, mounting channels, and the right lens to avoid dots and hot spots. For runs longer than 10 to 15 feet, choose 24-volt over 12-volt to keep the far end from dimming.
